From 2013-2015, Action Georgia successfully implemented the first phase of the Communications Unit for ENPARD – the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development – in Georgia. The project was successful in creating the ENPARD ‘brand’ and anchoring it in peoples’ minds. ENPARD is today the most well-known EU cooperation programme in Georgia. Our team developed a flexible and effective approach of supporting communication activities ‘on the ground’, combining this with a diverse range of PR initiatives and tools, achieving broad media coverage, regionally as well as nationally. Action also developed a strong and complex network of media, journalists and media associations, to channel messages in an innovative way. Action developed new formats for broadcasting online, created strong partnerships and continuously initiated new ways of increasing communication outreach and impact. Based on this outstanding communications work, the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia awarded Action Georgia a new two-year contract to manage the ENPARD Communications Unit in Phase II. Action Georgia will continue to inform Georgian citizens and the international community about EU support to and achievements in the agriculture sector and raise awareness of rural development of Georgia.
